Funding guidelines
Since the project was funded during its construction by the State of Upper Austria (renovation funding), potential tenants must meet the following funding criteria to rent an apartment:
- The annual household income of a subsidized occupant may not exceed 50.000 Euro for one person and 85.000 Euro for two persons. For each additional person without income in the applicant's household, the amount increases by 7.500 Euro or by 8.500 Euro if the person is significantly disabled and thus receives increased family allowances. For each child not living in the applicant's household, for whom alimony payments are to be made, the income limits increase by 7.500 Euro or 8.500 Euro if the child receives increased family allowances.
- The new apartment must be regularly used to satisfy a permanent housing need and registered as the main residence. Spouses must have the same main residence. A secondary residence is not possible.
- The previous apartment must be demonstrably re-rented or sold.
- Furthermore, tenants must belong to one of the following groups:
- Austrian citizen or
- Citizen of an EEA state, or
- Holder of the residence permit "Permanent Residence EU".
- Other persons may rent or acquire a subsidized property only if they have earned income or benefits in Austria in the last 5 years for 54 months and prove German language skills.
