In the heart of Graz, directly opposite the Grazer Messe, the largest enclosed built living space of the state capital is being created. The concept, new for Graz at this size, not only meets all the necessary attributes of a modern urban living space with sufficient office, retail and gastronomic spaces, but also aims to enable a “Community-Feeling” for 571 rental apartments.

The MQG building – designed as a seven- to ten-storey courtyard development – is characterized by high architectural quality and a novel access arrangement for Graz to the four two-wing components.

The two wings are each accessed by a longitudinal atrium up to eight meters wide.

The covering of these atria with glass roofs provides weather protection on the one hand and, on the other, creates generous, light-filled spaces. This also ensures that all housing units are cross-ventilated.

From MQG you can also reach your destination quickly without a car. A public sidewalk along Fröhlichgasse and the integration into the “Graz Radautobahn” will be constructed. The underground levels include two underground garages, which together extend over three garage levels and 1.500 car parking spaces. Between the existing garage of the Messe Congress Graz and the underground garage in the MQG, a car connection tunnel and an underground and above-ground pedestrian connection to the Messevorplatz are being built.
