In the heart of Graz, right opposite the Graz Trade Fair, the largest enclosed built living space in the state capital is emerging. The concept, new for Graz in this size, not only fulfills all the necessary attributes of a modern, urban living space with sufficient office, retail and gastronomy spaces, but also aims to enable a „Community-Feeling“ for 571 rental apartments.

The MQG building – designed as a seven- to ten-story courtyard development – is characterized by high architectural quality and a novel access arrangement for Graz of the four two-winged building parts. The two wings are each accessed by an up to eight-meter-wide, communicative longitudinal atrium. The covering of these atria with glass roofs provides weather protection on the one hand and creates spacious, light-filled rooms on the other. This also allows all residential units to be cross-ventilated.

Between the existing garage of the Messe Congress Graz and the underground garage in MQG, a car connection tunnel and an underground and above-ground pedestrian connection to the Messevorplatz will be constructed.
