Aurach near Kitzbühel
Aurach lies about five kilometers south of Kitzbühel, in the Leukental in the middle of the Kitzbühel Alps, on the road to the Pass Thurn in close proximity to the metropolis of Kitzbühel.
For a long time Aurach has ceased to be just a tip of the town; due to its idyllic location and scenic beauty, as well as its good social infrastructure with shops for daily needs, kindergarten, school and doctors, it is a desirable place to live.
Only about 5 km south of Kitzbühel, Aurach is located in the beautiful hiking area of the Kitzbüheler Südberge. The Aurach Wildlife Park, with its animal inhabitants, is the main filming location of the well-known TV series “Da wo die Berge sind” with Hansi Hinterseer. Golfers can also pursue their hobby on one of the many golf courses in the surrounding area.
In winter you have the Kitzbühel ski area, one of the best ski areas in the world, in close proximity. The natural toboggan run Kelchalm or the Auracher Eisstockbahn also look forward to many visits.
