At first glance everything here seems like a love letter to summer. At second glance you notice that this house actually wants to collect stories for four seasons.

Along the Danube, past small villages, lots of greenery, open windows and this feeling that the city slowly disappears in the rearview mirror. And then you have finally arrived — in the Greifenstein-Altenberg recreational area. With its Danube. Its beach bath. Its own summer feeling that somehow works immediately.

Here you don't have to travel far to be far away. Sometimes a 40-minute drive is enough to find your own little refuge.

So far it has been easily heated with infrared panels.

Perfect as an additional sleeping area, retreat, guest quarters, studio, playroom or simply as the famous 'upstairs' that you later don't want to miss.

The garden is, in any case, its own chapter. About 380 m² with every step you understand the mood of this place a little better. Raised beds, shrubs, lots of greenery, all nicely grown in and in this sympathetic lively way that you can't buy in a single summer. Here it hums, flutters and chirps. Birds, insects and probably one or the other cheeky garden creature feel clearly at home — and are obviously warmly welcome.

Even diligent watering doesn't make anyone break into a sweat. A private well supplies the garden with water for free.

The pergola almost looks like a small extension of the house, a little summer living room under the open sky. A place for long evenings, tepid nights and conversations that eventually become completely irrelevant. You probably sit here more often thinking 'just five more minutes' — and later wonder why midnight has appeared.

And somewhere below the arrow floor the summer kitchen is actually quite well equipped. The well-equipped summer kitchen saves not only the constant trips up and down stairs during garden parties — it usually quickly becomes the secret centerpiece of the evening.

Directly beside it is the small workshop of the owner. While on one side cooking, eating and chatting takes place, on the other side work can be done. One person cuts tomatoes, another searches for tools, and somewhere they probably decide that maybe tomorrow they will stay another day.

And if you eventually head towards the Danube, what is right there in front of the house is practically at your doorstep. Swimming, paddling, surfing or simply sitting with your feet in the water and pretending you still have a ton to do today.
