Castle Uhlheim was built by the family of Josef Ritter von Uhl in 1865 in the Historicist style. The photo on the title image shows what it might look like after renovation. On the largely secluded castle grounds, beside the castle, there is an operating building. The castle with its turreted corner pavilions and the front emphasized by a triangular gable is divided into a stately vaulted cellar, a ground floor, a representative living/upper floor with two terraces as well as an unfinished attic.

The total estate measures ca. 7,5 hectares and is partly designated as an industrial area. As part of a careful necessary revitalization the castle building should be freed from the subsequent additions and extensions and returned to its original configuration and expanded with moderate contemporary additional spaces.

The functional concept presented in a study aims at use as a residential object with community and leisure facilities. Typically, the present development would also be suitable as a family residence across several generations.
