About this apartment
The building was commissioned in 1896–1897 by the imperial and royal court milliner Peter Habig as a shop and department store, and was designed by architects Carl Holzmann and Heinrich Adam. The original plots of land were combined to create a building that covers almost the entire city block.
With five floors and an attic, the building was really big for its time. A central balcony, flanked by two bay windows that extend across the floors, characterises the building's appearance. The façade is designed in the neo-baroque style. Marble walls and columns, as well as abundant stucco in the building entrance, an imposing staircase and a nostalgic lift leading to the upper floors.
This 3-room apartment has a living area of approximately 196 m² and is located on the second floor (accessible by elevator). As soon as you step inside the apartment, you’ll notice what makes these rooms so special; you’ll be greeted by the graceful beauty of the historic rooms with their stucco ceilings and a ceiling height of over 4 meters, a spacious entryway, the classic old-style doors, and much more.
The rooms are accessible from the central hallway; the modern kitchen is a comfortable size and fully equipped. Orientation: West. District heating.
