The historic ‚Wachszieherhaus‘, also ‚Weberhaus‘, is located in the popular Salzburg district of Riedenburg near the Mönchsberg and the Neutor, which connects the festival district with the Old Town. The largely traffic-free and sunny location is distinguished by its walkability to Salzburg's Old Town.

The villa-like building features its Biedermeier façade and the historic vaulted ceilings, making it one of the oldest buildings (ca. 1560) in the district. It was declared by the City of Salzburg as a special economic-historical monument.
