Fieberbrunn is the largest town in the Pillersee Valley. The market town of Fieberbrunn lies in the valley of the Fieberbrunner Ache between the Kitzbühel Alps to the south and the western foothills of the Leoganger Steinberge. The good social infrastructure with shops for daily needs, kindergarten, school and doctors makes Fieberbrunn a desirable place to live. For summer tourism, the Lauchsee is important as well as 150 km of hiking trails and marked mountain bike routes. Another attraction is the Wildsee at an elevation of 1,847 m. Golfers can also pursue their hobby on one of the numerous golf courses in the surrounding area. Fieberbrunn is a popular winter sports destination due to its snow reliability. In December 2015, the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn merged with the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm/Leogang. The Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm/Leogang/Fieberbrunn comprises a total of 270 piste kilometres. The ski area is especially known for its freeride offering. In addition to skiing, there is a 27-kilometre long cross-country trail network available.
