Location

As the oldest village in the valley, Brixen gave the Brixental its name and lies on the sunny side of the valley.

Brixen im Thale is thus a centrally located place that offers the charm of a small alpine village. This combination makes the charming Brixen a central holiday destination for families with children, sporty groups of friends as well as hikers of all ages.

Unlike many other Alpine valleys, the Brixental does not end in a valley closure but is open on both sides. It connects the Inn Valley in the west with the area of Kitzbühel in the east. Nestled in gentle grassy mountains with wide pastures is the charming town of Brixen im Thale in the middle of the Brixental, about a 10-minute drive from the well-known Kitzbühel.

The valley station of the two gondolas lies only a few hundred meters from the town center and operates on both sides of the valley year-round.
