LOCATION

As the oldest village in the valley, Brixen im Thale gave the Brixental its name and is located on the sunny side of the valley.

Brixen im Thale is therefore a centrally located place that offers the charm of a small Alpine village. This combination makes the charming Brixen a central holiday destination for families with children, sporty groups of friends, as well as hikers of all ages.

Unlike many other Alpine valleys, the Brixental does not end at a valley floor, but is open on both sides. It connects the Inn Valley in the west with the Kitzbühel area in the east. Nestled in gentle grassy mountains with expansive pasture areas, the charming town of Brixen im Thale lies in the heart of the Brixental, about 10 minutes by car from the famous Kitzbühel.

The valley station of the two gondolas lies only a few hundred meters from the town center and operates on both sides of the valley year-round.
