Due to the currently ongoing expansion of the subway network, the location on Bergsteiggasse will benefit significantly in the near future.

Two new entry points of the extended U5 line will be available nearby, and through the connection of U5 and U6 at the Michelbeuern/AKH station (about a 10-minute walk) the adjacent district of Währing will be better connected to public transport and linked to the city center. The new Elterleinplatz station (about a 5-minute walk) will in turn connect the Hernals district to the subway network and create a fast connection to the city center. Both stations will significantly enhance the micro-location of Bergsteiggasse.

The U5 subway line will, after completion of the works, run between 2032 and 2035 from the Hernals transport hub (S-45, tram line 43) to Karlsplatz station (U1, U4), creating a new attractive and fast Office connection to the city center.
