The chapel visibly bears the marks of its long history and requires some renovation. Age-related damage is present particularly in the plinth and wall areas, as well as on parts of the façade and tower.

Work on the interior plaster was carried out as early as 1979. The Federal Monuments Authority also dealt with the building at that time.

Careful renovation now offers the opportunity to preserve the historic fabric and open a new chapter in the history of this exceptional building.
