The former villa of the Carinthian painter Franz Wiegele is located in Feistritz an der Gail in a rural village structure. Wiegele (1887-1944) was one of the pioneers of modern painting in Austria. He was one of the four members of the so-called Nötscher Kreis. This impressive villa consists of an original part that dates from the year 1915. In the east there is a large-format mosaic by the painter Franz Wiegele with signature. In the 70s the house was extended, which created additional living space. For example, the large living room on the upper floor with open fireplace and open gallery was created. The large room height creates a unique living feeling.
