This stately estate was first mentioned in a document in 1542. For centuries the property served as a mill and was owned or under the rule of various noble families. The milling operation was maintained until the end of the 1960s.

In 1975 a physician and his art-affine wife acquired the estate and restored the residential and mill buildings with great care, craftsmanship precision and much love for detail. In doing so, the historical character of the buildings was preserved and harmoniously complemented with high-quality fittings.

The former mill building was used as a homeopathic practice. In the adjacent utility buildings stables for horse and goat breeding, an organic farm and an artist's studio were created.
