Eibesbrunn lies about 10 kilometers north of Wien on the Brünner Bundesstraße. It was first mentioned in documents in the year 1130. On 22.7.1866 Eibesbrunn was for one day the center of history, when in House No. 33 (today Brünner Straße 1) the armistice between Österreich and Preußen was signed. By the turn of the century the place was known under the name "Heudörfl" and served the wagons as a hay station.
Eibesbrunn lies on the border of the plains of the Marchfeld and the hilly country of the Weinviertel at an altitude of 172 m and has an area of 368 ha.
Viticulture shapes the town; the Kellergasse is worth seeing. Despite the proximity to the federal capital Wien, the town has retained its rural character.
