In the heart of Graz, right opposite the Grazer Messe, the largest enclosed built living space in the state capital is being created. The concept, new for Graz at this size, not only fulfills all the necessary attributes of a modern, urban living space with sufficient office, retail and gastronomy spaces, but also aims to enable a 'community feeling' for 571 rental apartments.

The MQG building — designed as a seven- to ten-storey courtyard development — stands out for its high architectural quality and a Graz-unique development of the four two-winged building parts. The two wings are each accessed via a longitudinal atrium up to eight meters wide. The covering of these atria with glass roofs provides weather protection on the one hand and, on the other, generous, light-filled spaces. As a result, all residential units are cross-ventilated.

The ground-floor zone consists of generous green spaces and furnished “Wohnstraßen” (living streets) that invite all residents to relax in their homes. In the eastern section of the site, a publicly accessible park is being created.

A wide range of cultural and leisure activities through the numerous events of Messe Congress Graz, the proximity to the Augarten, as well as the excellent transport connections via public transport, form a fully-fledged living environment.

From MQG you can reach your destination quickly without a car. A public footpath along Fröhlichgasse and integration into the “Graz Radautobahn” will be constructed. The basements include two underground garages, which together extend over three garage levels and 1,500 car parking spaces. Between the existing garage of Messe Congress Graz and the underground garage in MQG will be built a car connection tunnel and an under- and above-ground pedestrian connection to the Messevorplatz.
