St. Kathrein am Hauenstein lies idyllically at around 820 m above sea level in the Fischbach Alps in the Styrian Joglland-Waldheimat. The region offers pristine nature, numerous hiking and cycling trails, as well as the Hauereck ski area with family-friendly slopes up to 1.300 m altitude. The charming town center with groceries and gastronomy, as well as the quiet location away from mass tourism, makes the town ideal for relaxation.
