Green Building:

The RIVERGATE was honored with the EU GreenBuilding certificate. It is also awarded the LEED® Platinum certificate, the rarely awarded and highest distinction of the US GreenBuilding Council. Energy concept:

The primary energy demand of the Office Center is covered by renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy and groundwater. This ensures environmentally friendly heating, cooling and ventilation and promotes a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. Accordingly, it reduces the primary energy costs by 35 % and lowers its CO2 emissions by 280 tons per year.

Geothermal energy:

The building is heated and cooled with the help of geothermal energy and groundwater. This conserves valuable resources and minimizes the primary energy demand. Activated components use the winter heat potential and the summer cooling potential of the earth and groundwater. This energy output is reinforced by heat pumps. In addition, the RIVERGATE is supplied with environmentally friendly district heating.

Facade:

To the southeast, a sun-position controlled lamella shading with light guidance provides glare-free work and lets daylight into the office at the same time. This saves lighting costs. The electrically adjustable and individually controllable exterior sun protection of the other windows is complemented by an internal glare protection. Additional shielding is provided by closed panels that interrupt the glass facade.

Green electricity:

The common areas of the RIVERGATE are supplied with environmentally friendly electricity from an Austrian provider. The office building on the Danube thus relies 100 % on renewable energy from sun, wind, water and biomass. For you and the environment this means active climate protection in daily office life with low CO2 emissions, lower energy costs and higher quality of life.

Green mobility concept:

The RIVERGATE is located at a high-performance node of public transport with direct access to the airport and to Vienna Mitte. For short distances, a bike rental system is available directly in front of the door. Those arriving by bicycle can use the 130 video-monitored bicycle parking spaces. Drivers have the option to charge their electric vehicles at 3 E-Tankstellen in the RIVERGATE's underground garage.
