• Glanegg Kindergarten: The facility is run in cooperation with BÜM Kids GmbH and offers care for young children as well as afternoon care. The building has undergone extensive, modern renovation.
• Glanegg Primary School: The primary school for basic education is located right in the village. School-age afternoon care (BÜM) is also provided on site.
• Music school: Glanegg has its own branch of the music school.
• Secondary schools: Higher-level schools (middle schools, grammar schools, HTL, HAK) are located in the cities of Feldkirchen and St. Veit an der Glan, which can be reached directly by bus and train.

Shopping and local amenities

Local amenities in the village are geared towards everyday essentials, place a strong emphasis on regional products and are complemented by the proximity of the cities:

• KastlGreissler Glanegg: A modern, digital self-service local shop directly in the primary school car park. It ensures that residents can buy everyday groceries regardless of traditional shop opening hours and primarily offers products from regional agricultural businesses.
• Direct sales: Many local farms offer fresh farm-gate products (milk, meat, bread).
• Large shopping trips: For supermarkets (Spar, Billa, Hofer, Lidl), drugstores and specialist shops, residents use the comprehensive infrastructure in Feldkirchen, 10 minutes away, or in St. Veit.

Medical facilities and municipality

• Health: There is an established general practitioner’s office in the village providing primary medical care.
• Safety: The Glanegg Volunteer Fire Brigade provides local fire protection. Several defibrillators have been installed throughout the municipal area.
• Community life: The municipal office coordinates all local matters. A multipurpose hall and the well-known Glanegg Castle Ruins, a venue for events attracting visitors from beyond the region, are available for cultural purposes.
