The authority considers the existence of public interest in the preservation of this monument, in which the condominium Top 1 is located, to be given for the following reasons:
It is a rear building of a former free house laid out in the 15th century, which was significantly rebuilt and expanded in the 16th and 18th centuries.
Through its transmitted substance, it documents, even in its more recent transformation, the building and living culture of the urban nobility in the Frederician era, in the early modern period and in the Baroque period.
Characteristic for the late Gothic style and the more generous construction methods of the local nobility under Emperor Frederick III are the expansiveness of the hook-shaped complex, its curved street front in irregular axis sequence, the slit window in the courtyard with characteristically chamfered stone surround, the (exposed) cornerstones, the (today bricked-up) pointed arch portal and other exposed stone surrounds.
The groin-vaulted barrel vaults with plastered ribs and the internal structures resulting from them correspond significantly to generally widespread early modern building forms, which were also used in free houses.
The exterior staircase with the massive ascending pillar arcades and characteristically profiled steps as well as the basket-arched profiled stone surround portal on the courtyard wing, in turn, denote Baroque articulation elements on subsidiary building wings of aristocratic architecture.
Beyond its high cultural-historical significance, the property also holds a locally important status as an architectural testimony of the von Kreyg.
