Energy concept: The primary energy demand of the Office Center is met by renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy and groundwater. This provides environmentally friendly heating, cooling and ventilation and a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. This reduces the primary energy costs of the office building by 35% and lowers its CO2 emissions by 280 tons annually.

Geothermal: The building is heated and cooled with the help of geothermal energy and groundwater. This conserves valuable resources and minimizes the primary energy demand. Activated components utilize the winter heat potential and the summer cooling potential of the earth and groundwater. This energy output is amplified by heat pumps. Additionally, RIVERGATE is supplied with environmentally friendly district heating.

Facade: In the southeast, a sun-position-controlled lamella shading with light guidance ensures glare-free work and also lets daylight into the office. This saves lighting costs. The electrically adjustable and individually controllable external sun protection of the other windows is complemented by an interior blinds. Additional shielding is provided by closed panels that interrupt the glass facade.

Green electricity: The common areas of RIVERGATE are supplied with environmentally friendly electricity from an Austrian provider. The office building on the Donau thus relies 100% on renewable energy from sun, wind, water and biomass. For you and the environment this means: active climate protection in daily office life with low CO2 emissions, lower energy costs and higher quality of life.

Green mobility concept: RIVERGATE is located at a high-capacity node of public transport with direct connection to the airport and to Wien Mitte.
