Besser arbeiten im CO2 neutralem LeopoldQuartier

The LeopoldQuartier is being developed on a large site in close proximity to the city center—the 1st district. On the Oberen Donaustraße 23-27 as well as 29. On the five building plots there are planned apartments, city apartments, commercially used spaces, more green and a kindergarten.

The planned office building in LeopoldQuartier in wood-hybrid construction will comprise ca. 22.000 m and will be a model example of sustainable office construction. The completion is planned for the end of 2025.

The wood-hybrid construction method combines the unique qualities of naturally grown wood with the advantages of modern building materials. The CO2 bound in the wood and the reduced weight of the hybrid construction method enable substantial emission reductions and a considerably lower material demand compared with massive construction. Through the consistent use of geothermal energy, geothermal cooling and photovoltaics, the LeopoldQuartier operates CO2-neutral. The energy comes 100 percent from renewable sources. The intelligent interplay of modern sensor technology and digital building automation also sustainably and significantly reduces energy demand. The Gold certificate for the sustainable deconstruction of buildings, from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), is available.
