Fans of Bergdoktor know the village centre of Going at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser inside out. The beautiful village square is prominently featured in every episode. And anyone looking for a ski day with a real challenge can embark on the “Kaiser Circuit” from Going; with almost 20 kilometres of pistes and over 4000 metres of altitude, SkiWelt can be discovered lift by lift and piste by piste. Ideally, the start and finish are in Going – but it is of course also possible to join the circuit at any other point.

Beginners and newcomers

Beginners and newcomers can enjoy many easy blue pistes at Astberg, as well as wide and spacious descents. Ski routes make difficult sections of the descent into the valley on the Astberg piste easier - and also make descents in SkiWelt Going more manageable for less experienced skiers. The large practice area in the valley (Ellmau-Going practice meadow) with its own practice lift is ideal for beginners. The ski school located at the valley station provides excellent training for all winter sports enthusiasts.

Experiences

One of the most beautiful toboggan runs in SkiWelt is the 4.5-kilometre-long run at Astberg. The route leads either to Ellmau (Naschberg – Hotel der Bär) or directly to Going (practice meadow) and is illuminated daily until 24.00. The toboggan rental service at Goingsport, located directly at the valley station of the Astbergbahn, provides the appropriate equipment.
