Since July 1, 2024, real estate buyers in Austria have benefited from a new regulation that provides significant financial relief. • The exemption requires registering the main residence at the acquired property and giving up the previous dwelling.
• In the case of credit-financed purchases, more than 90% of the loan must be used for the acquisition or renovation of the property.
