Residential Park Molkereistraße Top 9

From 1898 - 1901, the approximately 1 ha building block was constructed with unusual splendor for industrial facilities according to plans by the Drexler brothers: the wing on Molkereistraße is more reminiscent of a noble hotel than of a dairy. The one on Wohlmuthstraße looks as if a school or university had been built. These two wings are being revitalized. Façade lighting will also showcase them at night.

The old buildings between them, which had often been converted and extended over the course of 100 years, were unsuitable for new uses and had to be demolished. In their place, there is now an airy new building structure, 18,5 and 21 m high, with approximately 160 apartments oriented almost exclusively to the south.

The living rooms have parquet floors, bedrooms carpeted floors, bathrooms and WC tiled floors, kitchens, entrance halls and storage rooms linoleum. Kitchens, bathrooms and WC are mechanically ventilated. Utility water from existing wells is available for flushing the WC.

260 garage spaces are available for cars in a partially 2-storey underground garage, which can be reached from the apartments via a stairwell and passenger elevator.

Entry and exit are from Obermüllnerstraße and Wohlmutstraße.

There is a spacious children’s playground in the garden between the 7-storey residential wings. A piazzetta between the university of applied sciences and the residence brings life to the complex.

The university of applied sciences already began operating in one of the old building wings on 01.08.1998. The residential wings have been completed since November 2002.
