Sonnberg is a small village in the municipality of Krems in Carinthia at approx. 1,160 m above sea level and is accessible via Sonnberger Weg from the B 99. In the municipality there is a primary school in Eisentratten, kindergarten in Leoben, new secondary school in Gmünd.

Many active clubs. The center of the valley is the artist town Gmünd with all infrastructure and connection to the Tauern motorway.
