The district of Mödling is, together with the district of Korneuburg, one of two districts in Austria through which four different motorways or expressways run, namely the Süd-Autobahn A2, the Wiener Außenring Autobahn A21, as well as the Wiener Außenring-Schnellstraße S1 and the Südost-Autobahn A3. Other important roads are the former federal roads Wiener Neustädter Straße B17 (partly also Triester Straße), as well as Ödenburger Straße B16. The Südbahn railway of ÖBB is the most important north-south connection. The Pottendorfer Linie, the Aspangbahn and the Badner Bahn also run here.
