About the project

In Hauptstraße in Laa an der Thaya, the entire residential property is being completely renovated and is expected to be completed by autumn 2027.

The building comprises 27 apartments ranging in size from 31 m² to 101 m², with 1 - 5 rooms, distributed across two stairwells, each with five floors. The apartments will be completed one after another and continuously allocated at short notice. All apartments will be assigned a basement compartment.

Location

In Lower Austria, in the northern Weinviertel, directly on the Austrian-Czech border, lies the spa town of Laa an der Thaya. It is a town that is gaining increasing importance for those seeking relaxation due to its diverse tourist offerings and has developed into the centre of the upper Weinviertel.

The apartments are located in the centre of Laa an der Thaya.

Transport connections

Since 1869, Laa has had a connection to the railway line to Vienna known as the Ostbahn (northern line), which was electrified in 2006. This resulted in a shorter travel time as well as direct connections to the federal capital. Line S2 operates from Vienna to Laa. The connection to Hevlín (Höflein) and Brno has been interrupted since the Second World War. There are currently plans to rebuild it.

Laa is also connected to Korneuburg via Laaer Straße B 6. Pulkautal Straße B 45 leads via Jetzelsdorf to Horn in the Waldviertel. Via Staatzer Straße B 46, the town is connected to the district capital. As part of the construction of the Nord Autobahn A 5 (also called the Weinviertel motorway), this road is to be expanded into a motorway feeder road. This is intended to provide the town with a grade-separated motorway connection. At present, the extension of the Ostumfahrung, which opened on 19 February 2010, towards the west is being planned. Laa is an important road border crossing into the Czech Republic.
