In the heart of Graz, directly opposite the Graz Trade Fair, the largest enclosed built living space of the state capital is emerging. The concept, novel in size for Graz, not only fulfills all necessary attributes of a modern urban living space with sufficient office, retail and gastronomy spaces, but also aims to enable a “Community-Feeling” for 571 rental apartments.

The MQG building – designed as a seven- to ten-storey courtyard development – is characterized by high architectural quality and a novel approach to the development of the four two-wing components in Graz. The two wings are each accessed through a longitudinal atrium up to eight meters wide. The covering of these atria with glass roofs provides weather protection on the one hand and creates generous, light-filled spaces on the other. This also ensures that all dwelling units are cross-ventilated.

The ground-floor zone consists of generous green spaces and furnished “living streets” that invite all residents to relax in their home. In the eastern section of the site, a publicly accessible park is being laid out.

A wide range of culture and leisure activities through the numerous events of the Messe Congress Graz, the proximity to the Augarten, as well as the optimal transport connections through public transport form a fully functioning living environment.

From MQG you can reach your destination quickly even without a car. A public sidewalk along Fröhlichgasse and the integration into the “Graz Radautobahn” will be built. The basement levels include two parking garages, which together extend over three parking garage levels and 1,500 car parking spaces. Between the existing garage of Messe Congress Graz and the parking garage in MQG, a car connection tunnel and an underground and above-ground pedestrian connection to the Messevorplatz will be built.
