Another highlight worth mentioning is that the future Empress Elisabeth (Sissi), together with her mother Ludovika and her sister Nené, stayed in this property at the time of her engagement in 1853. Subsequently, this fact attracted dozens of crowned heads, high aristocrats and famous artists.

Bad Ischl itself, known as the heart of the Salzkammergut, is still a very popular year-round health resort and holiday destination with considerable tourist activity.
