Energy concept:

The Office Center’s primary energy requirements are covered by renewable energy sources such as geothermal energy and groundwater. This enables environmentally friendly heating, cooling and ventilation, as well as a healthy and comfortable indoor climate. As a result, the office building reduces its primary energy costs by 35 % and lowers its CO2 emissions by 280 tonnes annually.

Geothermal energy:

The building is heated and cooled with the help of geothermal energy and groundwater. This conserves valuable resources and minimizes primary energy consumption. Activated building components use the ground’s and groundwater’s winter heat potential and summer cooling potential. This energy performance is enhanced by heat pumps. In addition, RIVERGATE is supplied with environmentally friendly district heating.

Façade:

In the southeast, a sun-position-controlled louvered screen with light guidance ensures glare-free working while allowing daylight into the office. This saves lighting costs. The electrically adjustable and individually controllable external solar shading on the other windows is complemented by internal glare protection. Closed panels that interrupt the glass façade provide additional shielding.

Green electricity:

The common areas of RIVERGATE are supplied with environmentally friendly electricity from an Austrian provider. The office building on the Danube thus relies 100 % on renewable energy from the sun, wind, water and biomass. For you and the environment, this means active climate protection in everyday office life, with low CO2 emissions, lower energy costs and a better quality of life.

Green mobility concept:

RIVERGATE is located at a high-capacity public transport hub with direct connections to the airport and Wien Mitte. A bicycle rental system is available right outside for short journeys. Those arriving by bicycle can use the 130 video-monitored bicycle parking spaces.
